The Wall of Blame
Hillary Clinton was gifted with an opponent who was a childish, bigoted reality TV star who’d admitted to sexually harassing women, received support from white supremacists, and was opposed by the bulk of his party. She should have won. There’s plenty of blame to go around for her defeat. But more than a month after the election, Clinton and the Democratic leadership are still avoiding a couple of the responsible parties. If the party’s not willing to look in the mirror and candidly assess what it and its candidate did wrong, they’re going to just keep on losing.
